Liel Maghen

Liel Maghen is Executive Co-Director of IPCRI (Israeli-Palestinian Creative Regional Initiatives). IPCRI is an action-oriented think tank managed jointly by Israelis and Palestinians. Its aim is to engage both policy makers and the public at large in promoting a just and sustainable solution to the conflict and an end to the occupation. On October 20, he gave a presentation at Tantur entitled Nationality, Narratives and Identity: the History of Israel/Palestine.  On October 21, he led us on a tour of Jaffa and Tel Aviv.

Liel also serves as a Student Academic Advisor at the Hebrew University, involved in the Glocal Community-Development program, an M.A. in the Faculty of Social Sciences. For five years he has been one of the Friends of the Arava Institute, an environmental studies and research program in the Middle East (accredited through Ben-Gurion University). Finally, Liel is the Program Manager and Tour Guide for MEJDI Tours, a joint Jewish-Arab tour operator that creates custom group tours to Israel, Palestine, Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt.
